Yes, it will be interesting to see what happens. I was struck by the father's sense of restraint, generosity, and sympathy for the mother and her/his daughter. One might have anticipated anger, bitterness, recrimination, instead. There could be more to this than we have seen so far, but until we know otherwise, I must respect the father's behaviour and congratulate him for it.
